The Job

If you're passionate about technology, have a consultative approach, and want to play a key role in helping organizations preserve and manage cultural heritage, the role of Account Manager might be the perfect fit for you. Within Vitec Memorix, you will be responsible for acquiring, maintaining and expanding relationships with clients and prospects in the Netherlands and Belgium. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to promote Memorix software products to archives, museums, and cultural institutions throughout the southern Netherlands;
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including responding to and following up on tenders;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs and challenges;
  • Collaborate closely with the product management team to align sales efforts with product development;
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets for Memorix;
  • Provide detailed reports on sales activities, market trends, and competitor analysis.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of proven success as an account manager or sales manager in software sales, preferably in the cultural heritage or archival sector;
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field;
  • Experienced in Public Procurement (Tenders);
  • Excellent understanding of collection management software  and digital heritage concepts;
  • Strong network within the Dutch cultural and heritage sector;
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and verbal.

Preferred Skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a talent for building lasting client relationships;
  • Ability to understand and articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences;
  • Proven track record of closing deals and meeting or exceeding sales targets;
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, especially in managing tenders and sales pipelines;
  • Empathetic listener with the ability to identify and address client needs effectively;
  • Team player who can collaborate seamlessly with product managers and other departments;
  • Patience and grit to persistently follow up on long sales cycles and complex tenders;
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office suite.

  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment;
  • Passionate about technology and its application in preserving cultural heritage.

Additional Requirements

  • Willingness to travel throughout the southern Netherlands and occasionally to Belgium, UK and Germany for client visits and presentations;
  • Valid driver's license
