This event is organized by meemoo, the Flemish archives institute, in collaboration with Ghent University Library and Bruges Public Library. This online event is all about cards. IIIF stands for International Image Interoperability Framework. This is a set of open standards that archives, libraries and museums use to manage and exchange digital images and metadata about their collections. IIIF is integrated as standard in our latest collection management system Memorix Nexus.
Years ago we made georeferencing possible for Image Bank Groningen (Groninger Archives), Regional Archives Alkmaar and City Archives Amsterdam. At the time, many volunteers from VeleHanden georeferenced the maps and we published them on a website we developed (photos are from Image Bank Groningen).
