Interview Amy van Harten

Who actually works at Vitec Memorix? We would like to introduce you to one of our Account Managers Amy van Harten.

1. Account Manager, tell me! What are you doing?

As an Account Manager I am the point of contact for our customers. I provide advice on making collections digitally accessible and managed as best as possible. Together with the customer, I look at the possibilities we offer with our products and services.

2. What do you like most about your job?

Working with so many different clients in the heritage sector is really cool. I go to all kinds of places and deal with a wide variety of collections and customers.
The places I visit vary from historical locations and surprising museums to archives, impressive family businesses and even sports clubs. One day I walk through nature on the way to a fort and the next day I am back in the middle of a busy, big city.
In this sector you come into contact with heritage in all kinds of ways, but above all with many nice, committed customers.

3. What is your background?

I've always had a thing for history. As a child I was already fascinated by old photos, stories, castles and ruins. Later also through museums and all kinds of art.
That led me to study Cultural Heritage. I started at Picturae in 2019 as a digitalization employee and progressed to Sales. I still do that now, but for Vitec Memorix.

4. What do you like to do most in your spare time?

I love nature, music, museums, visiting beautiful cities, concerts, drawing, reading and driving around in my old Mercedes.

5. What do you hope to achieve at Vitec Memorix?

I hope that as a company we can help as many archives and heritage institutions as possible. The more the sector aligns and the more organizations we can help, the more collections become digitally accessible.
